Testing on a dreary day in January

Dear Ndugu,
In 19 days I leave San Francisco for Gaborone, Botswana where I will be studying for five months. I want a way for my family and friends to check up on me while I am abroad and as I despise sending group emails...this is it. Should be quite an adventure and I look forward to my first foray into blogging as I embark on this new adventure.
