Bali!
This picture is actually from our last day on the trip when we met up with my childhood friend, Lizzy and her friend, Roxy who happened to be in Bali at the same time. We couldn't remember the last time we had gotten together and had a few chuckles about having to go half way around the world just to meet up.
My new best friend...unfortunately he kind of has a klepto thing going and likes to steal glasses and bags from unsuspecting tourists only to exchange them later for fruit. Talk about local currency...
Nasi Champur which is a little taster of every dish (usually includes chicken, tofu, veggies and tempeh) that is different at every warung (restaurant).
We were driving across the island (from Lovina to Seminyak) when we got into a minor fender bender with an army surplus jeep. This turned into a low-speed chase through heavy traffic as the thugs tried to lose us and our flustered driver. We managed to chase them through the backstreets of Denpasar until they finally relented and brought us to their friend's shop where the bumper was immediately pulled off, stapled back together, and caulked to look (almost) good as new while Taylor and I waited on a bench with two very large, very slobbery dogs.
At dawn every morning in Lovina (North Bali), there is a rat race of boats that ferry tourists around the bay to view the resident dolphins. Despite the crowds, the dolphins did not disappoint. They had numbers and were jumping out of the water spinning and putting on quite a show.

The famed rice terraces of Bali...
Lovely lady traveling buddies enjoying the Candidasa sunset in our floral prints.
We went manta ray hunting and unfortunately did not find any, but I experienced the best snorkeling of my life!
My 24th birthday redo (as the first one was marred by nasty food poisoning) was nothing short of fantastic! It was full of friends, gluten-free chocolate cake, and salsa dancing.
One of the highlights of the trip was a trek up Mt. Batur at dawn (which meant waking up at 2am to drive there and summit by dawn). There was still quite a party going on at our homestay when we sleepily wandered past (ie large group of men with large piles of rupiah-the Indonesian currency, roughly 10,000 to a dollar).
Gorgeous views of Lake Batur...
My intrepid traveling companions without whom this trip would have a lot less laughs and fun. Thanks for everything!
