Italia

Dear Michealangelo,
Once again you never cease to amaze me. On my second viewing of The David, I was just as blown away as the first time. After 24 hours of Marathon travel (Cape town to joburg, 5 hour layover, joburg to dubai, dubai to venice) I made it to Italia and to my parents. Upon landing, I found my parents at the baggage claim and headed to Venice to see the sights. I walked till I couldn't, then water taxied, propped up with yummy Italian food and tiramisu gelato. We finally made it to the place where we were staying around 2am (geez parents...heard of bedtime?). We embraced the italian lifestyle of delicious food, exploration, and beautiful art/architecture. It was good to re-coop and re-enter western life with my parents. It was so hard to say goodbye to them today but i am currently at my friend Jessica's Bologna apartment getting ready to eat mexican food with a bunch of italians for her going away party. We are off to Malta tomorrow (a place I had barely heard of just a month ago). Missing home a lot but looking forward to my next month of adventuring.
Take care,
Caitlin
